That is very sweet, I'm pretty sure lots of kids find this amusing!
Nice - this is something I've had in my mind for a while. It would be nice if
1. you could easily set it as your profile picture (for kdm etc.) and
2. eyes, faces etc. can be downloaded using GHNS.
By the way, I can't figure out what that name (Karicat) is supposed to mean. Personally I would prefer an "easier" name, such as "Mii" for Wii (easy to pronounce (even for non-native speakers), easy to remember).
I was just thinking the same as Hans - you could use those great as:
* users' profile pictures
* caricatures of people e.g. in your addressbook (used by Kopete, KMail, KAddressbook etc.) or even outside for forums, OpenDesktop and SematicDesktop etc.
@Hans: Karicat is probably a word play on Caricature. I agree though that it's not the most nice sounding name.
We obviously cannot use Mii, but we do need something that has a nice ring to it. CareCat? Catty? Avatar? Ave? Avvy? Footoo(Foo + foto)? Mytar (My avatar)? Mootar (hehe)? Meemo (that one's taken)? Moomee? Meetoo?
P.S. I couldn't log in using OpenID O_o
I m agree with the name... We have to change it... More idea please :
konki, kii, kiwi, mike, miki..... ?
What do you think about "Kit"? It's short, it has the essential "k" ;), and as far as I know, it (the name) can be used both by boys and girls.
You can also see the application as a kind of "kit". :)
