For example, you can use it in Gimp.
But the difference between Gimp and KGL, is so important. Gimp use the CPU and KGL use the GPU thanks shaders! So, now you can easily make realtilme animation with convolution effects what can not do CPU.
Thanks olivier gueudelot for the idea!
So , look this :
Normal Texture {0,0,0, 0,1,0, 0,0,0}

Contrast effect {0,-1,0, -1,5,-1, 0,-1,0}

Border detection {0,1,0, 1,4,1, 0,1,0}

Random Value ( I don't remeber the matrix :))

Blur effect {1,1,1, 1,1,1, 1,1,1}

Bump effect {-2,-1,1, -1,1,1, 1,1,2}

very nice, I did not expect what that returns so pretty
Good job
Pretty awesome!
Imagine support for this in digikam? :-)
Or maybe KDE needs a pure photo editing application (Krita is for drawing, or so they say).
I really think that the first image (icon) is beautiful, I think the startmenu should look more like that (even if that was not the meaning of this post) to make KDE look more modern.
Yeah awesome work. I like the contrast and the bump. Be nice if it was offered in KDE as an alternative ;)
